Imran Khan:

PTI chairman Imran Khan officially became Pakistan’s 22nd prime minister from 2018 to 2022. A cricketer-turned-politician, Imran Khan, is set to become Pakistan’s next Prime Minister after being elected by Parliament.

Early Life:

Imran Ahmad Khan Niazi was born on 5 October 1952 in Lahore. His father’s name is Ikramullah Khan Niazi. He was a civil engineer. The name of his mother was Shaukat Khanum. He is the only son in his family and four sisters.
In his 90s, he has delicate features, a deep and husky voice, and a brown mane. Jemima Goldsmith, daughter of British billionaire James Goldsmith, of Jewish origin, then converted to Islam to marry him, delighting people magazines. Two decades, two children, and two divorces later, his eternally tanned facial features have sagged, but the character still wins over crowds.

On 25 April 1996, he introduce his party named Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. In 2002 he entered the National Assembly of Pakistan. He boycotted the 2008 general elections in protest of Musharraf’s rule. In 2013, he became most popular leader in Pakistan. But he did not in government due to election rigging. He sits opposition side and gives a tough time to the government.


He is popular with a fiery temperament and casts a wide net. In 2013, he led a motorcade to Waziristan to protest against US drone attacks. In 2016, he attempted a blockade of the capital to demand the removal of Nawaz Sharif after the revelations of the Panama Papers on the fortune of the latter’s children. But his conservative positions irritate most liberals, who accuse him of not having firmly condemned the atrocities of the Pakistani Taliban and of being too close to the military.
Finally, in 2018 he won the election and became the 22nd Prime Minister of Pakistan. He did not complete his term due to some foreign conspiracy.
